これまでiTunes、あるいは番組配信サイトから直にダウンロードするなどしかなかったpodcastを聞けるというので早速使ってみました。
iPhoneの中に4GB弱ほども番組ファイルを保存できる点は評価できますが、再生時にタイムバーが出ないので全体のどこまでを再生しているか判りませんし、巻き戻し/早送りといったこともできません。配信フィードにつく説明文の表示がでない場合が多いのも困りものです。　全体的にインターフェイスが判りにくいので、iTunes、iPodの操作性を今一度研究して改善されることをのぞみます。

The features looked great so I purchased the app. But there were serious problems namel; resume for video did not word, push messages were OK but no options for activating downloads automatically. The app would quit downloading when you switched to another app and downloads over 3G or interrupted downloads did not play correctly. I switched back to the standard iPod application of iPhone.

日本語のPodcastは検索できません。RSSのURLを直接登録することは可能です。更新チェック時に最新の１番組しか取得しませんが、Refresh Settings を、add all unplayed to queue に変更すれば良いです。再生時は、番組をリストから選択した後、再生ボタンを押す必要があります。この点はiTunesを使い慣れていると、やや違和感が残ります。また再生時に番組の先頭が１秒程度切られます。色々と書きましたが、Mac(PC)と連携せずに、最新のPodcastをWifiでダウンロードして聴取出来るアプリは他に無いので貴重です。　-追記-　　更新チェック中にダウンロード済の番組を聴くと、アプリが落ちたり、操作を受け付けなくなったりします。　　その他、終了後に他のアプリケーションが操作できなくなる事があり、その際は再起動が必要になります。　　英語環境だと安定しているのでしょうか。あるいはｉＴｕｎｅｓと機能が競合するため更新されないのでしょうか。残念でなりません。　-2011.3追記-　　現在は、ロゴも変更されiOS3専用アプリとなった様です。iOS4以降の方は、同社の提供する「Podcaster」をお勧めします。

更新チェック時に、最新の１番組しか取得しないようで、前編/後編に別れている番組などでは不便です。(自分で取得する事は可)
